Camarthenshire’s New Antiques & Brocanté Treasure Trail
Carmarthenshire in South West Wales has launched an exciting new Antiques and Brocante Treasure Trail, designed to showcase its best auctioneers, fairs, galleries and antique shops. Ideal for those with a real interest in interiors, as well as those keen to discover items from times past, the trail offers the perfect antidote to endless online scrolling, aiming to encourage visitors to get out and about and explore the county’s best antique centres to find their very own pre-loved prize!
Whilst the new trail is available to view as an online guide, visitors can also download a beautifully illustrated map to carry with them, detailing where each shop is located as well as information on opening times and whether pre-booking is essential.
Carmarthenshire also provides the perfect scenic backdrop for shopping trips; those seeking vintage, furniture and art will love trawling the antique stores of small towns such as Llandeilo, which boasts views to the Brecon Beacons and, further west, Newcastle Emlyn which has vintage guitars, clothing, jewlerry and kitchenalia all on offer. County-wide (from Llandeilo to Llandysul and from Carmarthen to Castell Newydd Emlyn) the friendly market towns are a real Aladdin’s cave of antiques.
Plus the county has many stylish hotels, B&Bs and cosy cottages to choose from, where shoppers can sit fireside in an antique Welsh rocker and sleep deep under vintage Welsh blankets.
